    Am I taking new clients at this time?
    Yes. I have some time available on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday at this time.

    ​What ages of children and adults do I work with?
    ​Most of my counseling work will involve talk therapy, educational resources, follow-up assignments, and future planning. Ideally clients starting at age 10-11 can benefit from this type of counseling.

    Do I accept insurance for payment?
    No, I do not accept insurance for a number of reasons. I believe that your care is compromised by allowing services to be dictated by your insurance company. I also believe in your privacy, and I do not want to share your private information with someone at your insurance company. Also, counselors who see clients from managed care insurance companies agree to a reduced rate of pay which means they have to see many more clients to make up for the reduced fees.  This typically reduces the time available for each client and the care they can give each individual.
    However, if you have out of network benefits, documentation can be provided that allows you to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company or HRA accounts.


    How much does counseling cost?
    I charge $130.00 for a 55-minute session. Many counselors bill for a 45-minute session. Our time will be managed well & lots of information will be packed into this time with you.

    Do I accept different forms of payment?
    Yes, such as credit cards, checks, and cash. I make sure that whatever system we use for payment maintains confidentiality for you. Once you decide to become a client, you will be directed to my Grateful Guidance PTC "Theranest" site where payment methods are established.

    Are counseling visits in person or virtual?
    I prefer to meet with my clients in person. However, situations arise that require virtual meetings, and this can be arranged.

    Can clients make appointments online?
    Yes.  Scheduling appointments, making payments, sending emails, uploading
    documents, etc., can all be done through one convenient site.  I try to make the process as easy as possible for my clients!
